That’s the year the old Portland Rose Glove Company, a manufacturer with a history in the valley stretching back to 1934, closed its operations. We acquired the tooling, and were able to provide jobs to some of the existing employees, who remain on the Oregon team. Since then, we’ve upheld the Portland Rose tradition, applying superior workmanship to the finest materials — to make the best gloves possible.
A Story of Values
We’re very proud of our Fields & Lane team including the great folks in our fair trade factory in Costa Rica who make your gloves.
And we’re equally proud of our philanthropic work in Oregon, Costa Rica and elsewhere, with a particular focus on special-needs children.
OMG they are the best!!!! They feel great, look wonderful and are so flexible. Now that fall is upon us, I can’t wait to clean up my gardens! My husband stole two pairs of gloves, and I saw that he was using them to cut brush. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I love to garden, and always wear gloves, and I received them on my birthday too! How can I spread the word to my gardening friends, so that they can order from you?

Nadia, thanks so much for the gloves. My wife loves them, her mother stole a pair for herself, and my Father-in-law grabbed a pair of the men’s gloves. Not easy making that many in-laws happy at one time!

Nadia — Just wanted to let you know the gloves arrived. Your company has made me very happy, today and for years to come. I find the gloves exquisite. They may even get me outside for gardening chores long being put off in the heat. I will blog about them, too. You offer the world a great blessing with your product.
